The Tankwa Karoo Trip is an experience in wide open spaces, clear starry nights and unique vegetation and landscapes. For the photographer it offers beautiful sunrises and sunsets, landscapes, wildlife (zebra, antelope) and of course astrophotography. The vast yet beautiful starkness of this ancient land always touches ones soul and the images captured on this expedition always convey openness.
This 4 day (3 night) expedition takes place in the Tankwa Karoo National Park and accommodation is provided at one of the cottages scattered throughout the park (Either at Elansberg, Langkloof, Paulshoek, Varschfontein, Tankwa Guest House). All travelling takes place in a rented luxury transporter and unlike some of the expeditions, no serious hiking is done. All the tours are conducted by John who loves the peacefulness of the place.
The cost of this expedition is R 9500 per person and includes the following;
All accommodation and travel.
Three meals per day.
Coffee/tea/soft drinks/water.
All permits.
