Bring your camera and join me on one of my away photography tours travel trips to two superb locations in the Western Cape.
The first photographic tour is to the Cederberg, a magnificent wilderness area north of Cape Town. It’s unique rock formations and features such as the Maltese Cross and Wolfberg Arch are a photographers dream. Ancient and unique rock art is a treasure to behold and snap and many a photographer has dreamt of capturing the shy and elusive leopard that roam the area. The second photographic tour takes us to the picturesque coastal lagoon town of Knysna where we will sleep over on the first night so we can be there to capture the sunrise over the lagoon early in the morning. From there we journey over the breathtaking Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo. Oudtshoorn is the ostrich capital of the world and the start of the Route 62 wine route. Our journey takes us along Route 62 and through the small character laden towns of Calitzdorp, Ladismith and Barrydale. Our second stop of the tour is in the beautiful town of Montagu where we will spend a night in the Montagu Country Hotel that is decorated in original Art-Deco furniture and style.
